Why does the transfer rate fluctuate on data upload by Samba protocol?

Applied models:

  • All NAS Series

Applied Firmware:

  • All QTS Firmware Versions

Due to the fixed cost of file transmission, large files will be more efficient than small files.

For example, the bandwidth of file transmission is 100. If the capacity of a large file is 50000, the transfer will be accelerated from 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 20, 30, 60, and then maintained at 60 until the file transfer is completed, and the transfer rate will mostly remain high. .

If the capacity of a small file is 50, the transfer will be accelerated from 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 20 and then the file transfer is completed, the next file will start to accelerate again from 0 to 20, and so the transfer rate will fluctuate continuously.
