QNAP to Discontinue Support for Photo Station, Qphoto, and Qvideo
Taipei, Taiwan, June 26, 2023 - QNAP® Systems, Inc. today announced that from October 1, 2023 the photo management app Photo Station and mobile apps Qphoto and Qvideo will no longer receive software updates and technical support for Photo Station, Qphoto, and Qvideo.
The discontinuation of these apps will allow for additional resources to be committed to researching and developing next-generation multimedia solutions. QNAP would like to thank its users for their long-term support, and apologizes for any inconvenience that discontinuing these apps may cause.
Notes
Photo Station, Qphoto and Qvideo can still be used if you download them before October 1, 2023. However, they will no longer receive updates and will not be eligible for technical support.
Recommended alternative apps
• Photo Station users can switch to using QuMagie for photo/video storage and management. QuMagie integrates AI Core image recognition for AI-powered photo/video classification, powerful file search, and a more intuitive UI.
• Qphoto and Qvideo users can switch to using QuMagie Mobile for remotely browsing photos and videos stored in their NAS.Albums created by Photo Station and Qphoto on the same device will be automatically transferred to QuMagie and QuMagie Mobile, and the album functions are unaffected.
