Why Does Chrome (HD Station) Display the Warning "you are using an unsupported command line flag: --no sandbox" ?

Last modified date: 2022-06-24

Applied models:

  • All NAS Series

Applied Firmware:

  • 4.4.1 or above

When opening Chrome in HD Station, it may display the warning "you are using an unsupported command line flag: --no sandbox", such as below:

This warning does not affect the operation of Chrome. The “sandbox” adds a layer of security in Chrome when browsing websites. However, due to execution permission in HD Station, it is necessary to remove it to launch Chrome. Therefore, we need to add the “--no-sandbox” parameter to execute the application.
