QNAP Releases Qsirch Firefox Extension

QNAP Releases Qsirch Firefox Extension

Taipei, Taiwan, September 19, 2016 - QNAP® Systems, Inc. today announced that Qsirch has been enhanced with the addition of the Qsirch Helper extension for Mozilla Firefox®.

According to an April 2016 report, Firefox's market share has reached 15.6% - overtaking Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and Edge browsers (15.5% combined). Reacting to this market share increase, QNAP created Qsirch Helper for Firefox to provide QNAP NAS users with greater choice in browser usage.

Qsirch Helper allows users to search both their NAS and the Internet at the same time, enhancing the scale and range of file searching. When using Google™ search on Firefox, Qsirch Helper simultaneously searches for the same keyword on the NAS and conveniently displays the search results from QNAP NAS alongside those from Google.

“Our research and development team is dedicated to optimizing our full-text search technology and simplifying the file search process on NAS with powerful Qsirch Helper,” said Cherry Chen, Product Manager of QNAP. “Qsirch is constantly being updated with comprehensive search enhancements and add-ons to provide greater usability and more intelligent searching processes.”
