Why can’t I see the Services option in HBS 3 (Hybrid Backup Sync 3)?

Root cause
The Services option in HBS 3 may be unavailable because of user permissions configured through the Delegated Administration setting in Control Panel > Privilege. When a user is assigned a delegated role such as Backup management or Backup operation, that user can only perform actions allowed by their role. The Services option is exclusively available to the NAS administrator account or members of the Administrators group.
Solution
- Check your user account permissions:
- Log in to your NAS and open Control Panel > Privilege > Delegated Administration.
- Review the roles assigned to your user account.
- If your account only has Backup management or Backup operation roles, you will not see the Services option in HBS 3.
- Access with an administrator account:
- Log in using the NAS administrator account or a user account that is a member of the Administrators group to access the Services option in HBS 3.
- Modify user group membership (if needed):
- If you need access to the Services option, request that your account be added to the Administrators group by a system administrator.
Note: Only users with administrator privileges can access and manage the Services option in HBS 3. Assigning additional privileges should be done carefully to maintain system security.
