Intelligent Desktop
Intelligent Desktop of the QTS 4.0 features a drag-and-drop workflow, to extend your computer desktop experience to the NAS. Designed with seamless usability such as the main menu, smart dashboard, drag-and-drop icons, multiple desktops, personalized wallpapers, and smart toolbar the list goes on to enhance your NAS experience.
Multi-window, multi-tasking
- QTS 4.0 lets you open multiple application windows and run multiple tasks simutaneously. There is no need to wait for one task to finish before starting another.
- The applications can be minimized onto the Toolbar, allowing you to see an overview of all the ‘opened’ applications and lets you quickly switch between them.

Centralize backup storage - File share
Easily share your files with multiple users on various devices. Drag and drop files from the NAS directly to your desktop or vice versa. As your centralized storage hub, all your digital contents are quickly stored and protected with multiple backup options!
Qsync - Sync files across devices
Experience the thrill of owning your own private cloud. Qsync acts as your own personal "Dropbox" and lets you sync all your files throughout multiple platforms. You can upload photos from mobile or tablet devices to the Turbo NAS, and access the same files on any linked to the Turbo NAS. Whenever you add, edit, delete or rename a file on one computer, the change applies to all devices linked with the Turbo NAS, so you have exactly identical contents on all of your devices.
A whole new media experience - Stream it your way!
From Airplay, DLNA, to XBMC simply choose the way you prefer to stream your TV, sit back, relax and enjoy your high definition video collections on big-screen TV.
AirPlay Streaming
With Qfile, you can use any iOS mobile device to browse videos and photos stored on the Turbo NAS and play on the TV through AirPlay enabled devices such as Apple TV. With the QAirplay App, media content stored on the NAS can stream directly to your Apple TV, bypassing your mobile device.
DLNA Media Player
The Turbo NAS is a complete media center with DLNA support. You can use DLNA-compatible devices such as TV, HDTV, Smart TV sets, Sony® PS3, Microsoft® Xbox 360 and Hi-Fi system to enjoy HD quality videos stored on the Turbo NAS. HD Station
By installing the free HD Station application and connecting the Turbo NAS to a big-screen TV through HDMI, you can easily enjoy your video, music and photo collections stored on the Turbo NAS. myQNAPcloud - Your own personal cloud
Personal cloud made easy! myQNAPcloud is a free service that gets rid of complicated network configurations so you can remotely access your files. You can even easily use various services on your personal cloud to instantly share your files with family and friends.

Use Qfile to enjoy the mobility of video/music streaming, photo browsing and sharing, file uploading and downloading; Qmanager to remotely manage your NAS; VMobile to remotely monitor your surveillance.
App Center - Powerful, organized, rich-in-content platform full of amazing apps
Further enhance your NAS with Apps in the QNAP App Center!
