Scenario

Your Windows 11 sometimes cannot access the NAS on the same local network, while other Windows 10 PCs do not have this issue. Windows 11 displays an error message that asks you to check the spelling of the name. If you click See details, you may find error code 0x80070035 or 0x80070043.

Solution

  1. Go to Control Panel > Network & File Services > Win/Mac/NFS/WebDAV > Microsoft Network (SMB) > Advanced Options.
  2. Restrict anonymous users from accessing SMB shared folders. Select Enabled (strict).
  3. For Server signing, select Enforce signing.

This enhances the security level in Windows 11 and can help resolve this issue.
