Can I use VAAI to clone a VM between a VMFS datastore (iSCSI) and a NFS datastore?

Answer:

No. VAAI can only be used with the same datastore type. VAAI will be used between 2 iSCSI LUNs, between 2 NFS shares. VAAI cannot be used between 1 iSCSI LUN and 1 NFS share.
