Connecting to an iSCSI target on QuTScloud fails. How can I resolve this issue?

The cloud services which host QuTScloud often use network address translation (NAT) to map public IP addresses to private IP addresses. The iSCSI protocol cannot connect an initiator to a target through NAT.

To work around this issue, connect to QuTScloud using a VPN connection.

In QuTScloud, go to App Center and then install the app QVPN.
In QVPN, enable and configure a VPN server.
PPTP, L2TP, and OpenVPN are supported.
Create a VPN connection from the iSCSI initiator to QuTScloud.
Windows and macOS both have built-in VPN clients.
Connect to the iSCSI target again using the original QuTScloud IP address.
