QNAP Systems, Inc. - Network Attached Storage (NAS)

What are the limitations of QJBOD Express (JBOD Roaming)?

Applied Models:

With QJBOD Express you can safely detach a JBOD, and then migrate the JBOD to another NAS to share data. This function has the following limitations:

  1. You cannot safely detach a JBOD if it is being used to expand the storage pool of the host NAS.
  2. Both the host NAS and the other NAS must support the same expansion unit bus type.
  3. The REXP number of the expansion unit will change according to the other NAS.
  4. SSD cache settings will not be retained on the JBOD. Once migrated, the volume/LUN in the JBOD will use the SSD cache settings of the other NAS (or not if there is no SSD cache on the other NAS).
