How to back up data from an Rsync-compatible server to QNAP Turbo NAS?

Applied Models:

You can use the “Rsync Server” in “Backup Station” to back up data to QNAP Turbo NAS. If you have any problem using this feature, please check the settings below:

  1. Make sure you are using the latest version of Rsync. To download the latest version, please visit http://rsync.samba.org/.
  2. Make sure that the option “Allow remote Rsync server to back up data to NAS” is enabled in “Backup Station” > “Backup Server” > “Rsync Server”, and the username and password are both correct.
  3. Make sure that the port used by the Rsync server is set correctly (the default port is “873”.)
