Answer

If you restart the NAS while a RAID scrubbing job is in progress, the job will be terminated and all progress will be lost. Although the RAID scrubbing job will automatically start again after the system restarts, the job will restart from the beginning.

Note
If you stop a RAID scrubbing job and then run it again without restarting the NAS, the progress is preserved and the job will resume where it last stopped.

To manually stop a RAID scrubbing job, follow these steps:

  1. Open Storage & Snapshots.
  2. Go to Storage > Storage/Snapshots.
  3. Select a storage pool or static volume whose status is "Ready (Scrubbing)".
  4. Click Manage.
The storage pool or volume management window opens.
  5. Select a RAID 5 or RAID 6 group.
    Note
RAID scrubbing is only available for RAID 5 and RAID 6 groups.
  6. Click Manage > Stop RAID Scrubbing.
The system stops RAID scrubbing on the storage pool or static volume.
    Tip
To start RAID scrubbing again, click Manage > RAID Scrubbing in the same window.
