It depends on your choice, if you consider to set up the permissions through the NAS itself, then it is recommended to enable only the Advanced Folder Permissions, so users can assign folder and subfolder permissions to individual users and user groups.
On the other hand, if you consider to set up the permissions through Windows, then it is recommended to enable only the Windows ACL support, so users can only configure folder and subfolder permissions from Windows File Explorer.
