We strongly recommend disabling the UPnP service on QNAP NAS and your network router. .
Disabling UPnP service In QNAP NAS
Follow the steps below to disable Auto Router Configuration (UPnP client) in the myQNAPcloud app:

Log in to QTS as an administrator.

Open myQNAPcloud.

Go to Auto Router Configuration.
- Deselect Enable UPnP port forwarding.
- Click Apply.

Go to Publish Services.
- Deselect all unnecessary services.
- Click Apply.

Go to Access Control.
- Set Device access controls to Private.
- Click Apply.

Disabling UPnP service on a network router
The general process could be as follows,
- Access the setup page of your router using a web browser.
- Go to Advanced > Advanced Network settings > UPnP.
- Disable the UPnP function.
