Q: What would happen when the BBU is not functioning?
A: When one of the BBU is not functioning, the other BBU will provide the necessary power for both storage controllers to protect data loss in case of power failure.
When both BBU fail, the storage system will switch to write-through mode (as opposed to write-back mode) to protect data integrity.
It is recommended contacting your reseller to arrange the BBU replacement to keep your NAS function properly.
