What is Hybrid Storage? What is the recommended configuration for the ES1640dc hybrid storage?
Hybrid Storage is a storage system that uses Solid-state Drives (SSD) and Hard Disk Drives (HDD) concurrently. Hybrid Storage provides performance that is close to a full SSD array and, at the same time, provides a large storage capacity comparable to conventional HDDs. The recommended storage configuration of the ES1640dc uses four SSDs for a read cache. SAS or NL-SAS HDDs may be installed in the remaining slots according to application requirements.
The ES NAS provides SSD cache acceleration to optimize allocation of Hybrid Storage.
