The following audio alerts can be managed from Control Panel > System > Hardware > Audio Alert:
| Audio Alert | Description |
|---|---|
| System operations | Select to trigger an audio alert every time the NAS starts, shuts down, or upgrades firmware. |
| System events | Select to trigger an audio alert when errors or warnings occur. |
Tip
The POST (Power-On Self-Test) audio alert, issued when a NAS is booting up, cannot be disabled. This audio alert indicates that there are no hardware malfunctions.
