Can I update High Availability Manager if the two nodes have different firmware versions?

Explanation

We do not recommend such a setup. In a High Availability (HA) environment, both NAS devices must have the same firmware version before updating HA Manager. If the active and passive nodes are running different firmware versions, updating HA Manager may result in unexpected behaviors or HA service malfunction.

Recommendation

Before updating HA Manager, make sure both NAS devices are running the same firmware version. To verify your firmware version, go to Control Panel > System > Firmware Update on each device.
