What does “"Host: Disk #": NCQ disabled. Timeout error.” mean and what is the suggested action?

When the system detects I/O timeout on a specific disk, it will perform a series of error handling actions, and disabling NCQ is the first action. If all error handling actions fail, this disk will be dropped from the system.

If this error is found on a disk which has been running in NAS for a period of time, it could be the disk aging issue and the disk needs to be replaced.

If such an error happens to a brand-new NAS installation with new compatible disks, please contact QNAP support to troubleshoot the possible hardware failure
