In which situation,it is a 100% NAS hardware failure and what should I do?

Symptom:

I couldn’t access the NAS,it seems to be a hardware problem.I would like to know in which situation,it is a 100% hardware failure on the NAS?

Answer:

While powering up the NAS, the NAS will beep after a short period of time ,this indicates POST( Power-On Self-Test) is successfully finished,this beep sound can't be disabled. In other words, If no sound comes from the NAS after powering up,the NAS has hardware failure and needs to be repaired.

If the NAS is in warranty, please contact the reseller or distributor directly for the RMA process. If the NAS has other symptoms/the NAS is out-of-warranty, please contact QNAP support for further assessment / out-of-warranty hardware repairing. If the NAS is fairly old and is an EOL model, you may consider purchasing a new NAS model and migrating the data.
