Recommendation

Using the following settings and conditions will provide the best results with QVR Face.

Category

Description

Camera placement

Cameras should be placed so that people walk towards cameras with their faces clearly visible in constant illumination.

Lighting

  • 450-550 lux.
  • The lighting on faces should be constant. The background should not be overexposed or black.

Face angle

QVR Face allows up to 20 degrees tilted from the horizontal axis or the vertical axis.

Capture resolution

1920x1080 (or higher)

Frames per second (FPS)

  • QVR Face supports up to 30 FPS.
  • For access control or attendance history systems: 5 FPS (or higher)
  • For real-time analysis: 15 FPS (or higher)

Camera type

  • Fisheye and wide-angle cameras are not supported.
  • Disable image enhancements (such WDR, HDR, and sharpness).

Face resolution

120x120 pixels

When face resolution meets the specifications, bounding boxes will appear on detected faces. For more information, see the video for dynamic face recognition.
