If set RAID with “QNAP external RAID manager” and via DIP switch on machine rear, is there any difference?
Answer: If via QNAP external RAID manager > it will be controlled / managed via RAID manager (software) and you could adjust it on QNAP external RAID manager.
If set with DIP switch (hardware), it would be managed via hardware and wouldn’t be changed/modified in QNAP external RAID manager (and please don't change DIP switch mode if RAID is already running).

If set 2 disks as RAID1, could we connect a disk of the RAID on windows for data access?
Answer: No, If you need to read data on a disk or on RAID1, install disks on TR-002, then connect the TR-002 to the PC for accessing.
-
If TR-002 is out of order / broken, how do I access data?
Answer: The disks will need to be migrated to another TR-002 and connect to PC or host.
-
Trying to re-create a RAID, would the previous data on the disks be removed?
Answer: Yes, if creating a new RAID, previous data will be destroyed.
-
Could we use BitLocker to protect data?
Answer: It is not recommended to use bitlocker to encrypt data, as if encrypted, it will be harder to decrypt the content when accident occurs.
