How to Install QNAP Video HD on KODI?

QNAP Video HD is a free KODI add-on fully integrated with Video Station features. QNAP Video HD makes full use of KODI’s media compatibility and supports numerous file formats, helping enhance video playback quality and viewing experience. In addition to KODI, QNAP Video HD also supports a variety of platforms, such as Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android TV.

Downloading QNAP Video HD Add-ons

To download Video HD add-ons (script.videohd.core & skin.videohd), go to https://www.qnap.com/utilities?utility=video+hd

Installing QNAP Video HD on KODI

  1. Go to https://kodi.tv/download
  2. Download KODI v17 “Krypton”.
  3. Run the installation package.
  4. Open KODI.
  5. Click “Add-ons”
  6. Click
  7. Select “Install from zip file”.
  8. Install “script.videohd.core” and “skin.videohd”.
    Note: You must install “script.videohd.core” before installing “skin.videohd”.
  9. Click “Yes”.

    You can connect to you NAS after changing the skin. Video HD provides multiple methods for logging in to your NAS account.

    You can start using Video HD after logging in to your NAS.

  10. If the confirmation message does not appear, you need to manually change the skin. Follow these steps:
    1. Click “Settings”
    2. Click “Internet settings”.
    3. Click “Skin”.
    4. Select “QNAP Video HD”.

Selecting the Language on QNAP Video HD

  1. Click “Settings” on QNAP Video HD.
  2. Click “Regional”.
  3. Click “Language”.
  4. Select a language.

Reverting to the Default Skin on KODI

  1. Click “Settings” on the top-right corner on Video HD.
  2. Click “Skin”.
  3. Select “Estuary”.

Uninstalling QNAP Video HD

  1. Click “Add-ons” on KODI.
  2. Click “My add-ons”.
  3. Click “All”.
  4. Select “QNAP Video HD”.
  5. Click “uninstall”.
