How can I edit m3u playlists for DLNA server?

Procedure

  1. On your local device, create an empty text file.
  2. Open the playlist file with a text editor that supports Unicode characters.
  3. Add the relative path to the music files.
    Note
    Make sure to use the relative path, and not the absolute path.
  4. Save the playlist file with an .m3u extension and ensure it is UTF-8 encoded.
    Note
    The Media Streaming add-on does not support .m3u8 files.
  5. Optional: Enable playlists within the Media Streaming add-on.
    1. Open the Media Streaming add-on.
    2. Go to General Settings.
    3. For Default menu style, select Custom.
    4. Identify one of the custom options and click Customize.
      The Settings window opens.
    5. Under the Music tab, select Playlist.
    6. Click Apply All.
