How do I join a Windows 10 device to an AD Domain created by a QNAP NAS Domain Controller?

Applied Models:

Follow these steps to join a Windows 10 device to an AD Domain:

  1. Set the device's DNS server IP address to the same as the AD server's IP address.
  2. Synchronize your device with the AD server.
  3. On your Windows 10 device, go to "Control Panel" > ”System” > “Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings” > “Change settings”. In the "Computer Name" tab, click the "Change..." button and enter the domain name of the AD server under "Domain".
