Can I connect a VM to a physical network adapter in Virtualization Station?
Applicable Products
Virtualization Station
Scenario
When configuring the network settings of a virtual machine, only virtual switches are listed as network adapters. Is it possible to select a physical adapter?
Details
Virtual switches make it possible to establish communication between different virtual machines and also between virtual and physical networks to transport VM data. They are viewed as network interfaces by the device, enabling communication between virtual machines and their physical adapters.
In case you want to VM's network traffic to be directed to the physical port of the host device, it is recommended that you connect an SR-IOV network device to the VM.
