This message is usually reported when the data volume is not properly un-mounted with one or more of the following conditions:
- The NAS suffered an abnormal shutdown or forced power off.
- Some services were not stopped properly during the shutdown.
- Other unexpected cases caused the data volume to not be properly un-mounted.
As system data/files that were used during those events may have been affected, you can check the file system on the volumes and repair any possible errors.
For non-legacy NAS models (that can be updated to QTS 4.2 or later version)
Log in to QTS and go to “Storage Management” > “Storage Space”.
Click on the storage pool in the right panel, select the data volume and click “Manage”. It will show the data volume management dialog. Click “Actions” and select "Check File System".
For legacy NAS models (that cannot be updated to QTS 4.2 or later version)
Log in to QTS, go to “Control Panel” > “System Settings” > “Storage Management” > “Volume Management”, and click “Check File System”.
