Why am I asked to install the application when trying to open QVR Pro Client or QVHelper using Mozilla Firefox?

This error may occur when you are not using the latest version of the applications or when you are using HTTPS on Mozilla Firefox. To resolve this issue, ensure that you are using the latest versions of QVR Pro Client or QVHelper.

  1. Click “Open menu” and then select “Preferences” (macOS) or “Options” (Windows).
  2. Perform one of the following steps.
    1. On Firefox version 55.0.3 (64-bit): Go to “Advanced” > “Certificates” and then click “View Certificates”.
    2. On Firefox version 56.0 (64-bit): Go to “Privacy & Security” > “Security” and then click “View Certificates”.
  3. Under “Servers”, select one of the following.
    1. QVR Pro Client: Locate “localhost:9143” to confirm that the certificate was added successfully.
    2. QVHelper: Locate “localhost:8143” to confirm that the certificate was added successfully.
  4. Click “OK”.
