Why does it take a longer time to delete files through SMB in Mac Finder?

Root Cause

When you delete files in Mac Finder, the system reads data from other files and lists all the files in the folder. Therefore, deleting files may take longer when you mount a shared folder via the SMB protocol in Mac Finder. This is a known issue with SMB on macOS.

Solution

We recommend using File Station to delete files for shorter processing time.
