What happens inside the SSD cache of an encrypted volume?
Applicable Products:
- Storage & Snapshot
When working with an encrypted volume and having the SSD Cache enabled, the data that passes through the SSD cache will remain encrypted as well, that happens because the SSD cache layer is below the filesystem encryption layer in the storage stack, so this means, if you have an encrypted volume, the cached data stored in the SSD is also encrypted.
