How can I lock files in my space on myQNAPcloud Storage?

Last modified date: 2024-08-02

Applicable Products

 myQNAPcloud Storage

Explanation

To lock a file, right-click the file or access the More menu and select the Lock option. A dialog will appear, explaining the consequences of locking the file and offering the option to proceed with or cancel the action. Once a file is locked, a lock icon will be displayed on the file thumbnail.

Attempting to perform operations such as modifying the content, renaming the file, uploading a new version, moving the file to another location, or deleting the file will trigger error messages indicating that the file is locked and cannot be modified or deleted. Similarly, attempting to delete or move folders containing locked files will also trigger error messages, preventing unintentional modifications or deletions.
