Why am I unable to pull LXD images in Container Station?

You may experience deployment failures when attempting to pull LXD images in Container Station versions prior to 3.0.6 (including 3.0.0 and 2.x series). This is a known issue resulting from the decommissioning of the original LXD Registry server in May 2024. Container Station relies on the LXD Registry server to access and download LXD container images. Since the original server has been phased out, attempts to pull images through app templates or the Explore feature in affected versions will no longer function.

Solution

This issue has been addressed in Container Station version 3.0.7 and later. Updating Container Station to version 3.0.7 or higher will restore the function of pulling LXD images and creating containers through both app templates and the Explore feature.
