Procedure
You can follow the instructions below to configure a custom console port and password for Virtual Network Computing (VNC) access to your virtual machine. This enables you to connect to the VM's graphical desktop remotely using a VNC client.
- Log in to QTS or QuTS hero.
- Open Virtualization Station 3.
- Under VM List, click on your virtual machine.
- Go to Settings > Console Operation.
- Under Remote Console, select Custom.
- Enter your preferred port number.
- Optional: Set the VNC password.
- Select Set VNC password.
- Specify a VNC password.
- Re-enter the VNC password.
- Click Apply.
Note
- Remote console port and VNC password configuration cannot be applied while the VM is running.
- If you choose Auto for the VM console port, Virtualization Station automatically assigns a port between 5900 and 5930.
