What should I do when the error message ''System has detected that your DNS server can't resolve hosts…” is shown?

Applied Models:

Answer:

There are two possible situations that the Turbo NAS shows the DNS error message.

  1. DNS server address error

    * If the Turbo NAS is configured to use a static IP address, check if the DNS settings are correct in [System Administration] > [Network]. If you are not sure about the DNS address, contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) or use Google DNS server, 8.8.8.8 and 4.4.4.4.

    * If the NAS is configured to obtain DNS server address automatically, check the DHCP server and make sure the server provides the correct DNS information.

  2. Default gateway address error

    * If the Turbo NAS is configured to use a static IP address, check the default gateway settings and input a correct gateway address in [System Administration] > [Network]. If you are not sure about the default gateway address, contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider).

    * If the Turbo NAS is configured to obtain the default gateway server address automatically, check the DHCP server and make sure the server provides the correct default gateway information.
