Why do I constantly receive a Disk Health Warning?
Applicable Products
QVR Pro, QVR Elite, QVR Pro Client
Details
QVR Pro and QVR Elite provide various ways to determine the health of hard drives (HDD) installed in their system. One of these is SMART, which provides monitoring indicators to determine disk health, and another is power-on hours.
QVR Pro and QVR Elite routinely generate warnings once a disk exceeds a threshold of power-on hours. By default this is 20,000 hours, and from QVR Pro and QVR Elite 2.4.0 you can modify this setting in Surveillance System > HDD Health.

While SMART and power-on hours will provide you with indications of HDD health, you should always have a plan for handling disk failure and proactively replace HDD that you believe are failing.
