Accessing your personal vault is a straightforward process. Simply select the Personal Vault from the root space and enter your encryption key to unlock it. This ensures that only authorized users can access the vault and its contents.
If someone attempts to access your vault with a wrong encryption key, there are stringent security measures in place. The counter for wrong encryption key attempts is global, which means that even if that person switches to another browser or access the vault through other clients such as HybridMount, the failed attempts will continue to be counted.
After three consecutive incorrect attempts, a warning message is displayed. Should there be five failed attempts across any client or browser, the vault is globally locked for 24 hours, preventing unauthorized access. This robust security protocol ensures that your personal vault remains secure and that your files is protected from unauthorized viewing or tampering, regardless of the access point used.
