Why is the number of files found in the RTRR backup different from that observed in Windows Explorer?

Multimedia services create hidden system folders (such as /.@_thumb) inside directories where multimedia files are located and generate some temporary or setup files in these directories. Samba does not show these directories and files, but RTRR will still try to back up them to the backup destination. So, the number of files in the backup will be different from that observed in Windows Explorer.

We recommend that users set file filters to exclude temporary files and specific categories/file types to skip backing up these files to the backup destination.
