Why can’t I export an iSCSI LUN?

Last modified date: 2018-03-07

When you export an iSCSI LUN using LUN Import/Export, QTS first creates a temporary copy of the LUN. If you have problems exporting, check the following.

  • For block-based LUNs:
    • The LUN’s pool must have the status “Ready”.
    • The LUN’s pool must have at least 32 GB of free space.
  • For file-based LUNs:
    • The LUN’s volume must have the status “Ready”.
    • Free space on the LUN’s volume must be greater than or equal to the capacity of the LUN.
