Can I insert my HDD (that has data on it) from my computer into the NAS?

Never insert any HDD or SSD into your NAS that you have been previously using in another device and has data on it. When you insert a new drive to a QNAP NAS it will be formatted and repartitioned to fit the operating system’s needs during the initialization process and you won’t be able to recover your previous data.
