Can I continue recording via QVR Surveillance before or after creating a Cluster in HA Manager?
Applicable Products
- QuTS hero h6.0.0 or later versions
- HA Manager 1.0.0 or later versions
- QVR Surveillance 3.0.0 or later versions
Detail
QVR Surveillance continues recording when you:
- Create a HA cluster
- Perform a manual switchover
- Undergo an automatic failover
- Remove a HA cluster
All channels will continue recording to both the Active and Passive Node's storage space. The following QVR-related connection works seamlessly, automatically recognizing the cluster IP after creating the cluster and the Active Node IP when removing the cluster, and will continue backing up recordings as configured:
- QVR Recording Vault to back up tasks
- QVR Center to manage server and failover protection
However, the following URLs may require either updating or re-applying after the HA cluster is created or removed:
- Event URL
- HTTPS/RTSP Share Link
- QVR Face/QVR Human Task Source IP Address
- Metadata URL
