Is it possible to expand an iSCSI LUN?

Yes, it is possible to expand an iSCSI LUN, on the iSCSI & Fibre Channel setup, you may select the created iSCSi, which you have intention to expand, see on the picture below.

Then you may click on the button “Action”, so you can select the option “Modify”, as shown on the picture below.

After that, it will open the modification options for the iSCSI LUN, where you can change the name, the capacity to expand (it is not possible to decrease), and other options that can be selected, such as “Report volatile write cache for data safety”, this means that when enabling, the target will report to iSCSI initiator that volatile write-cache is being used. Initiators might frequently request that the NAS flush cached data back to disk, which increases data safety, but decreases LUN performance, another available option to enable is “FUA bit support”, this means that when enabled, the iSCSI client can request to flush the cache, but only for important data (instead of the complete cache content). The iSCSI client must support this feature for it to be used. Please, refer to the picture below.
