If you use a Mac to connect to a NAS/server that has 100,000 files via SAMBA, the Mac system will analyze data information of the files one by one. The more files the NAS/server has, the more time it will need. In addition, the request that you want to send to your NAS/server will not work and it will be unresponsive. You must wait for the Mac to finish.
For NAS/servers with over 100,000 files, we recommend connecting via the AFP protocol.
