After using a Mac to format a USB Hard Drive, QGenie (QG-103N) only recognizes a small volume. How do I get it to detect the full space?

Applied Models:

Answer:

QGenie will only recognize and mount the “first partition” on external drives.

When performing a full disk format, a Mac will create another small volume. So QGenie will recognize that small volume instead of the main partition.

You can format a single-partition drive by selecting the “Master Boot Record” format in “Disk Utility”. Or you can use a Windows PC to perform disk format operations instead.
