Can I change my subscription from a monthly plan to an annual plan?

Scenario

I'm currently on a monthly subscription. Can I change it to an annual, bi-annual, or tri-annual subscription?

Solution

QNAP offers monthly and annual subscriptions only. Bi-annual and tri-annual plans are not currently available. To switch from a monthly subscription to an annual subscription, you will need to purchase a new subscription. Here are two ways to do this, depending on whether you are within 14 days of your original purchase.

Change Subscription at Expiration
To switch to an annual subscription at the end of your current term:
1. Disable auto-renewal for your current subscription in the Software Store. For details, see Why is my subscription license auto renewal? How to disable it?.
2. Purchase an annual subscription in the Software Store once your current subscription expires.
Refund and Repurchase (Within 14 days)
If you are within 14 days of your initial purchase, you can request a refund:
1. Deactivate your license on the NAS if it is already activated. For details, see License Deactivation.
2. Request a refund in the Software Store. For details, see How to get a refund if I have purchased the wrong license product?.
3. Purchase an annual subscription in the Software Store after the refund.
