Why are there frequent guest login events shown in the System Access Log, when the guest does not have shared folder permission?

The guest login events in System Access Log are normal even when the guest does not have shared folder permission. If a guest uses SAMBA to access shared folders, SAMBA will verify the password resulting in the guest login event in System Access Log.
