How do I resolve an issue where Windows VHD or VHDX files which use NAS shared folders cannot be used when Windows restarts?

Answer:

The best way is to eject your image files before Windows needs to restart. After the reboot, you can remount these image files. However, there are some unexpected situations where you cannot eject image files before the reboot. Also, due to the data integrity, Windows will lock these files that you cannot use. At this time, you can go to the QTS desktop > “Control Panel” > “Network Services” > “Win/Mac/NFS” > “Microsoft Networking” > disable “Enable file service for Microsoft Networking” > “Apply”. Then, enable “Enable file service for Microsoft Networking” > “Apply” and system will be reconnected.
