QNAP provides one of the richest list of additional services you can imagine. With such an impressive variatey of services and additional applications the interface has the full russian version and is well designed.

The feature set is just amazing!
The NAS leaves a strange impression. A rich feature set on one hand, and a strong dependence on how many features are enabled on the other hand. The logic interface contradicts to its exterior. An excellent speed of transfer of large files (a good choice for HD video) and complete helplessness in front of a big number of small files (that is the case of backing up the OS).

The QNAP TS-119 is faster than its predecessor, especially in case large tasks in the torrect-client. Another noticeable addon is the iSCSI interface support which is needed to setup data networks. The power consumption makes 12W which is very good. The overall impression is good but for the price.

QNAP TS-219 is representative of a new series of QNAP's NAS. Used efficiently (as for NAS'a) and at the same time assisted energy-efficient processor 0.5 GB of RAM so that the work is comfortable with the device. The device is fast in all its aspects. Speed interface (it may work outside the animated mode) and also transfers the data leave no room for complaints.

I'm glad to see a very detailed manual in russian. The software has become more diverse. We haven't attracted attention to the fact that this is the first NAS with the latest Intel Atom onboard. This CPU is a bit slower than the Intel Celeron used in the TS-509, though both NAS’es work fast. Atom's advantage is its lower power consumption. At night, when the NAS downloads data from the Internet the TS-439 Pro consumes not more than 40-50 W which looks great.

I found the TS-439 very easy to setup and use. The NAS served up files at reasonable speeds, and the performances of NFS was excellent. I am happy with the media server functionality and it was very simple to get my media served up to my PS3.

QNAP TS-209 Pro II is a good choice for a file-server which is equipped with a set of multimedia features and which produces little noise. I think that this NAS fits into a home interior better than the Thecus - its black mirror front panel looks stylish. The exterior really deserves praising.

The QNAP NVR-1012 is currently a very attractive solution for arranging a surveillance system, and the reason is not just its affordable price. By purchasing the inexpensive NVR-1012 you actually invest into a higher-level surveillance system than what you buy. In order to understand the ways of its further development the supplied two cameras are enough. Later, when you want to expand the system, you can get more advanced cameras for monitoring critical objects which need such features as rotation and tilt, autofocus, zooming, while the old cameras can be set for less critical or well illuminated objects. At the same time, you will have to buy the key part – NVR-101 - only once.
