What is the performance when I encrypt the hard drives using QNAP's AES-256 bit encryption?

The AES-256 encryption/decryption on the Turbo NAS is software-based, so that the decryption is performed constantly during read & write and causes performance impact on encrypted drives. Please refer to : How to use the data encryption feature on QNAP Turbo NAS
