Hot spare disk
You can add a hot spare disk to a RAID 5, RAID 6, or RAID 10 volume. When a disk member fails, the hot spare drive will be automatically added to rebuild the RAID volume. It reduces the risk of data loss before you manually swap the hard disk when the system is in degraded mode.
